While making an ambient track simulating a fortune teller's caravan, i designed 3 sounds in pro tools by layering and editing presets within ambience and soft pads. They add a bit of magical flare when the tarot card reader turns over a card. This sound can be used for any kind of transition, item acquisition, quest accomplished, or other quick sound effect which needs a light, magical quality. 909 kick with massive distortion and eqíng. Used the eks-9 vst plugin to emulate a 909 kick drum. Placed a huge load of different distortion plugins on different spores, to create a heavy distorted sound. In between those distortion plugins i used several eq's to manipulate the sound.
